MultiPlatform Windows Migration
When a multinational financial institution needed to migrate over 1700 computers to a new Windows operating system, they called on PamTen to get the job done. With a tight time frame, 6 locations, and multiple platforms, we pulled together a process based on BPM practices and an expert team to accomplish the goal. The coordinated effort, which required timing, strategy, cooperation among all parties, and technical ingenuity, was completed on time and met the parameters set by the client.

Our Client is a leading provider of advanced software and network technologies built to manage complex institutional securities trading. The problem arose as costs were getting out of control with increasing sales of custom systems and the on-going development and testing of various updates, upgrades and patches. In addition, providing customer support for a wide variety of platforms required massive staffing increases in areas with high costs of labor. These rising costs were dramatically reducing operating income and they realized the need to open offshore centers to offset costs in the future. PamTen recommended instead of a standard offshore consulting model to go with a Build, Operate, and Transfer model. Technology utilized in this solution included Java, J2EEE, Oracle, Quality Center, Rational Clear Quest, Selenium, SQL Plus and Bug Tracker. The client has been able to become self-sufficient and capable of managing the offshore center as a wholly owned extension of their business. As a result Operating Income has continued to Increase.

Our client is a provider of financial information and advice. The type of advice they would provide is based on the profile information provided by visitors to their site. They needed to interface their web portal with their internal product databases. PamTen assembled a team of onshore and offshore specialists who developed a solution using PHP and .NET to interface the source databases with the web databases to deliver a solution that enabled the application to function at an optimal level while minimizing development time and effort. Ultimately, the solution enabled the client to increase traffic to the web portal and provide new services prior to the tax season.
Asset Tracking System for a large Pharma Company
Our Client is one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. They often terminated employees who continued to maintain company assets and uncompleted work tasks after receiving severance payments. Our Client had been tracking assets both manually and electronically, leading to a confusing mass of often contradicting information. Through a SQL and .NET solution, we developed high level application interface architecture, with business logic, DB procedures and API's, to interface with our Client’s internal and external source databases. All Human Resources and outsourced data could now be accessed through a central Web Portal in an organized and consolidated manner. Our client is a global provider of security-related services for banks, retailers and a variety of other commercial and governmental customers.
